Luke's Letter Dated April 28, 2014

Hello everyone!

My week was great! We have been working a lot with the members of our branch. Even more than normal. We have one member, Hermana Montenegro, She's awesome. She seriously talks to every single person she comes across about the gospel. She makes me think about the committment that we all should have to share the gospel. Sharing the gospel isn't just something reserved for the missionaries! 

We said goodbye this week to a young man from our branch, Fransisco, he left on thursday for his mission in Ecuador. Watching him prepare and leave home makes me think about when I was in his shoes. It seriously seems like yesterday. The time goes so fast it's almost not fair!

Letter Dated April 21, 2014

So we had a great past week! 

Here in Argentina they use any excuse they can to get out of going to work and school. Easter was no exception and pretty much the whole city was shut down. It made it a little easier to find people in their houses, but it was kind of a pain when we needed to swing by the store to buy something.

I've been thinking a lot lately, about the mission, and about the other things I've done in my life. I've noticed one thing in common. The results of whatever the activity is are a direct result of my desires and comittment. When I was in the army how well I did in the trainings was a result of these two things. In my work back at home, It was the same. And even more here in the mission field.  It's really pretty cool to see what desire and comittment can do. Even if I lack the skill to do something, If I give all I've got the lord makes up the rest. It's cool to see how he has helped me this way in every aspect of my life.

I'm eternally grateful for Jesus Christ and all that he's done for me. I know without a doubt that he is there to help us in anything that we're passing through.

Luke's Letter Dated April 7, 2014

So conference was this past week. As we watched they showed views of the inside of the confernce center as well as temple square and all that. At one point Elder Hazlett and I looked at eachother and said It's crazy that last april we were there. It doesn't feel like it was a year ago that we were there. It's crazy how time flys.

Conference was great! I was really glad to be able to watch almost all the sessions. Because of the time difference we got home from the priesthood session at midnight. 

The talks were great! I especially liked President Monson's talk sunday morning. He talked a lot about love. Loving everyone is a commandment, not an option. It is kinda easy to forget that sometimes. But it's important to remember.
