Luke's Letter Dated August 18, 2014

Hola everyone!!

So transfers were this week!! My Mexican companion left!!!!!!!!! I now have an american companion!! Elder Steinke from Clearfield Utah. It's really weird having an american companion and talking English again. I dunno if I like it that much. haha. But it's going awesome with him! We're working like crazy and loving it!

Last week we had made an appointment with a less active, then we couldn't go. I didn't really see it as a big deal. But later on, the bishop, the ward mission leader, and the less active all kinda chewed me out. I realized that when i didn't go to the appointment that I had set, I was being dishonest.  So I have made a new commitment to myself to be completely honest in everything, with myself, others, and the lord.

I love you all!
I hope you all have a great week!!!!

Luke's Letter Dated August 11, 2014

Hey everyone,

Things are goin pretty great here in Argentina! We're workin hard and having a blast while doing it! This coming week we have transfers. It's very likely that my companion will be leaving. Kind of sad, but that's how the mission is. Life goes on!
These past few weeks it has been hitting me just how short the mission is. The sisters that were in the MTC with me are now heading home! It's been 18 months since I left home! It really feels like just yesterday that I left home!

I started to read the Book of Mormon this week. As I read Lehi's dream, he said:  "12 And as partook of the fruit thereof it filled msoul
with exceedingly great joywherefore, began to be desirous
that my family should partake of it also; for knew that it was
 desirable above all other fruit."

It really hit me the great desire that he had to share this fruit with his family. It made me realize that right now, in my mission, my only job is to share this fruit with the people!! I have the responsibility to share this fruit with others! What a great opportunity that it is to be able to help others know of the love of god!

I hope that you all can find ways to share this fruit with the people who surround you!

I love you all!!

Luke's Letter Dated August 4, 2014

Hello everyone!

This week has been kinda crazy. We didn't have like hardly any time to work in our area. We had meetings two days this week, and had to spend a bunch of time the other days cleaning and preparing the chapel for those meetings. Kinda crazy, but everything turned out good!
Our ward had an activity this friday, they turned the cultural hall into a movie theater and showed the movie rio 2. We got to go and watch it too! It was pretty fun! They're planning on doing a movie night at least once a month! That'll be really sweet!

We are still teaching Jessica, our blind investigator. She is doing really really well and is making the changes that she needs to so that she can be baptized at the end of this month. She has a lot of hard things that she needs to change, but she has the desire and the help from the members, so I know she will be able to do it!

I love you all! Pray for missionary opportunities!
