Luke's Letter Dated 03/31/2014

Hello!!!

So I have to apologize for not writing a letter last week. I had it like all written up and just didn't send it.. My bad. lol

This week went pretty good. Kinda normal up until the weekend.

On Friday we had a baptism!!!!! It was a 9 year old kid named Gustavo. He was baptized by his dad. They recently moved from Paraguay to Argentina for his dad's work. The impressive thing is that this 9 year old boy decided to put off his baptism for about a year so he could be baptized by his dad. It was cool to see that he really understood what baptism is enough to decide for himself to put it off for a while. That's something you don't see in too many little kids.

On Sunday we had the District Conference. My Branch President was called as District President. So that means that we won't be seeing nearly as much of him. But he'll be awesome! Now we have to wait a few weeks to see who will be the next Branch President.

Love you all!
Have a great week!

Luke's Letter Dated March 17, 2014

This week I'm really grateful to be in an area where the leaders really support us. My branch president is like all on board to baptize a guy this month. He's really doing more than he has to to support us. It's awesome! The guy we are gonna baptize is named Santiago. He's like 60 years old. He's known the missionaries for almost 20 years. But never has gotten baptized. In one of our lessons he told us that this is his time. And that he was going to get baptized. Pretty cool miricale!

Other than that this week has been pretty normal. It's been raining a ton here. So we just go out and get soaked. haha. It's pretty fun!

My companion is awesome! He and I get along great! We're like a super good combination too. It rocks.

I hope ya all have a good week!

Love ya!

Luke's Letter Dated March 10, 2014

Well hello!

This week kinda flew by. Like crazy fast. The time is really flying.

On Tuesday our branch president called us and told us that he wanted to go out and work with us. So that's what we did! He said he had a few families he wanted to go visit. I kinda thought that they would all be just member families and that kinda stuff. Boy was I wrong. he took us to the investigators that he has been working with!

Our branch President is going out and doing missionary work on his own! If every single member was like him, we, as missionaries would just baptize all the time. Like  Elder Holland said, the only danger we would face would be from hypothermia from being in the baptismal font all day.

It's really cool to be in a branch that has members that are really excited about getting the work done!

I hope that all of you can work your hardest to do your missionary work! Wether you have a plaque or no, every single one of us has the responsibility to proclaim the gospel.

I love you all!

Hope you have a good week!

Luke's letter dated March 3, 2014

Hello!

This week was a little bit crazy to be honest! With the transfers and all that fun stuff it's been a little nuts.

My companion finished his mission, and by now should be relaxing in his house.

My new companion is Elder Nacimento from Peru.

They painted our apartment this week so the whole week it was torn apart like crazy. At one point everything we owned was on our balcony. After we finally got all that figured out my companion was able to get all his stuff put away.

This week we have been 100% focused on finding new people to teach. It's been kinda rough. We go out and knock doors like all day. Most people reject us. A few let us in. But they're very few.

We had a really good family home evening with our branch on saturday. Our branch President gave a really good lesson on forgiveness. It made me realize that there's some people in my life that I need to forgive, and that i need to ask forgiveness from a few people too!

I have been really slacking on taking pictures lately, I'm gonna get better and this next week I'll have some more pictures to send!!

I love you all! and hope you all have a great week!!!

Love,

Elder Morgan
