Letter Dated February 10, 2014

So my brother Keynan reminded me of something that my nephew Wyatt says. He was a little bit confused about the fact that I'm in the army but I'm on a mission too. After a long time of confusion and a lot of thought he came to the conclusion that I am in Argentina fighting people about Jesus. Good stuff! haha.
This week was mostly normal until Wednesday night. We were just getting home and it had started to rain. As we were going about our nightly routine it started to rain harder. Then started the lightning. The lightning here in Argentina is something crazy. The bolt of lightning lights up the whole landscape, shortly followed by an ear splitting crack of thunder. Seriously it shakes the house. So that made it kinda hard to sleep.

The next morning we woke up to a flooded town. Luckily we live on the second floor, but we had a full on river in the street in front of our house. Pretty crazy. Because of the flooding some of the people couldn't sleep in their houses. They had to find some other place to go. A couple families had to sleep in the church. We went out to help them out and do what we could to get them back into their houses. It was a mess. Some people seriously lost everything. We will be hard at work for quite a while getting this mess cleaned up.

This whole time I have been in Argentina has made me think about how blessed I have been in my life. And really I have no reason to complain about what I have been given in my life. Ever. We have all been so blessed, but unfortunately sometimes we have to be humbled to realize the blessings we have in our lives. My invitiation to you all is that you can take some time and think about all the good things you have in your lives. All the blessings that you have been given. Really we are a blessed people, and we're lucky to have what we have.
I love you all!!!
Elder Morgan
