Luke's Letter Dated June 23, 2014

So this week was pretty good!

We had a transfer meeting on Wednesday. The whole mission was invited to this one. This was the last meeting with President Carter. It was more of a farewell than anything. It was really bittersweet. My zone sang God be with you till we meet again. President cried. That means we did well. Then we all got to say goodbye individually to the President and his wife. That was kinda tough, but it was good.

Then this Saturday we had the baptism of Maria, Leo's mom. We started filling the font at like 12 then we went home because we have to be in the house during the games that Argentina is playing in the World Cup. We left the house at 4 and went straight to the chapel. When we got there there were a few members who had squeegees and were trying to dry the floors. We were soo scared, we thought that the font had overflowed. We ran inside and opened the door to the font where we could hear the water still running. It was about half full. The members were just mopping the floor, but we were so scared that we had flooded the whole chapel.

The baptism went well! Maria was a little scared, but everything worked out just fine!

I love you all!
Hope you have a great week!

P.S. The United States has a slight chance of not getting eliminated in the first round of the World Cup!!! Go Us!!!

Me and Leo and his awesome hat.
We didn't have water or power for like 5 days. So we had to heat the house using coals, and go outside to the street to get water from the faucet out there.
